When Ross Lovegrove designed his organic water bottle he said that it felt like nothing and that was the point of the container—a design where the interaction with the filled container full of water made someone realize that they were not holding a bottle, but its contents. The reason for this unique interaction is the form and shape of the container which is derived from a simple extrusion process of organic polymers during production that created mass individualism.
I imagined a similar process bringing both simplicity and ease of construction together. A 5.5 inch square form fitted with heat and suction over a smaller parabolic tool. One piece of acrylic, in one gesture receives an individualized form. I remember being first handed a sample piece of acrylic and feeling its weight and wanting to capture the spirit of its qualities.
I wanted its use to demand intimacy, balanced in the palm of a hand. I sought to make use of the product’s full value; its variety, its texture and its durability. For such a versatile material I attempted to create something which is both essential and universal. I designed a container; small and portable, I imagined its use a transformative gift given as a symbol of hospitality shared among friends—capable of being produced cheaply, stored easily and distributed globally.
I envision a party of people and a uniquely shaped container not to be forgotten or discarded, but instead a conversational ice breaker.

I suggest laying off the photoshop filters so people can tell what your product is.
