Balance is work and relaxation. Relak balances work and relaxation for every application through it's simple desk-bed design accomplished in one move for ease of use and ease of construction. Relak is balanced both visually and technically. For a doctors office it is the pediatricians table and the patients chair. For a restaurant it is the waiting room and the hosts desk. For the dorm it becomes the student's desk and bed. With storage spaces provided underneath and a twin size mattress above, Relak condenses space and simplifies the student's, the pediatrician's, the hosts', and the patient's lives.

Very nice design, Color stands out drawing in the viewers eye. I like the retro and simplicity look. I would use this design in a childrens room to conserve space. Appears easy to clean. SWEET.

I just realized, if you replace the words "dorm" and "student's" with the words "cell" and "inmate's," your description still makes perfect sense. Kinda says something about dorm rooms I suppose.

This is one of the cleanest projects submitted, although there are a couple relatively minor issues that have been touched on. this purely public voting seems to be hurting the integrity of this selection process, yours should not be anywhere behind the the current leaders, if anything, ahead! I esp like the contextual rendering, nice work!

Sara says:
Nice form, nice concept. Would love to have seen it in context in the many situations you described above. I also am curious about the thickness of the plastic, it looks really thick in some of the renderings... I would prefer if it lost about 1/4 - 3/8 an inch (I know that is nit-picking but it makes a difference!) Also I would love to have seen consideration for people who want to pull their chair up farther to the desk (the bottom does not allow this), how the mattress stays on the plastic platform, and how the form looks once you apply a bedspread or a paper-roll for the doctor's office (will you allow the bedspread to fall over the sides and ruin the visual appeal of your form?) This is really close, just want to make sure the design stays beautiful once it gets in the real world and isn't just on paper.
