Balance can be achieved in a variety of ways. The Stack Stool is balanced in both form and function. The form is simple, symmetrical, and visually balanced. The simplicity of design creates endless uses. It is suitable for schools and daycares and can serve as extra storage for toys when stacked. It is useful to businesses, malls, and even outdoor spaces. When stacked the design becomes a sculpture instead of unsightly. The stool is also a balance of negative and positive space. Even though the stool itself is thin the space that it contains gives it a greater weight.

The inspiration for the design came from the idea of creating an object that was simple and maximized use of materials. The shape of the stool creates little to no waste during production and is a simple rectangle thermoformed into a stool. The shelf created underneath the seat creates a place for temporary storage of everyday items the user may have with them, such as a coat or purse.

This one is nice as well. Space is always and issue. I like the idea of stacking the pieces upward. What would be cool if the seat was designed to stack up vertically forming shelves, and a seat. It has balance vertically, but not that much function. I would tweak it slightly, but you get my vote.

I see many uses for these stools in a woodturning shop. Small tools such as bowl sanders, cordless drills, sand paper, wax, small wood blanks for making pens. The list could be very long. They would look and be used in my shop. Keep up the good work.

WINNER! As an athletic parent, hauling these to children's sporting events for spectating would be great. Low maintenance, easy to clean. Use it in your garden, for Wii gatherings, outdoor fireplace parties. I could even see these around wading pools for parents to keep an eye on children yet be in the water. Put them in your mud room for boot removal, etc. I see great things in your future....keep up the good work!

This would be great for spaces that need to be quickly and easily converted, such as a school lunch room. Students would have a place to put their belongings to keep the out of aisles, but the stools would be able to be stacked quickly and efficiently for clean up afterwards, or if the space needed to be cleared of tables and chairs

The material used for construction could easily consist of a variety of polymers and even utilize engineered wood such as varieties of medium density fiberboard and/or high density coated veneer products that can exhibit an aesthetically pleasing end product including any hardwood species commerically available. good job
