This is a proposed concept for an LED wall mounted lighting system, which incorporates expandability, efficiency, and a dynamic user experience to create a flexible solution. The light structures are entirely extruded, and thus can be made into infinitely different lengths depending on the application. In addition, each completed light unit can be connected with others like it at its endpoints allowing the lights to form one entity that can provide a strong defining presence on any size of wall surface.
The vanes on the upper and lower edges of the device swivel in and out from user input changing the sweep of light against the wall, from indirect to diffused. When chained together, all the units will mechanically adjust together. The light emitted from this system is in a constant state of balance, from unit to unit, as equal light is spread from both the top and the bottom of the lighting bar.

I had a very similar idea. You should keep this idea with you and eventually make some renderings of this "strip" lighting applied to all of the walls of a room. That way more people can see what visual appeal this invention provides
My project is Wall-LG and uses a similar concept for strip lighting but does not have the unique folding parts that yours does. However, I wonder if this control for the length of light on the wall could be obtained also with a dimmer switch.
